About the Event
Imagine being one of the few participants who earn the opportunity for a Once‐In‐A‐Lifetme experience of rappelling 150 feet from the Smoketree Tower building in the Highwoods Office Center.
The amazing views from the top and the exhilarating experience of going Over the Edge can only be matched by the important role you will play in helping raise funds for one of America’s oldest youth organizations; Occoneechee Council, Boy Scouts of America.
How do I Participate?
1. Become an Edger (aka ‐ the one going Over the Edge) ‐ you can pay your way or get sponsorships. Sponsorships begin at only $1,000.
2. Sponsor an Edger— A website to collect pledges will be provided to assist you in achieving this experience. You can track your pledges with a personal message to your team!
Edger: No Fees - One individual will raise $1,000.
Toss Your Boss: No Fees - The Boss will raise $1,000 from all his co-workers, family and friend
Why should I Participate?
As an Edger, this unique event will take you to new heights, make lifelong memories and provide “some serious bragging rights”.
As a sponsoring member (non‐Edger), your pledges will support local youth by delivering a quality Scouting program.
Is It Safe?
Over the Edge is staffed with highly trained and certified industrial ropes specialists. Each site has a comprehensive Site Inspection & Safety Plan completed. You may read more about the company at overtheedgeusa.com.
Do I Need Any Experience or Gear?
No! Each Edger is trained before their drop. The specialists at Over The Edge will provide all the gear.
NC Edgers will be registered, trained and sent to the roof based on their registration time.
Up to TWO Edgers will rappel at the time.
The average time to reach the landing zone is about 15 minutes.
