Thousands Rush Franklin St. After Tar Heels Win!

#1 ranked North Carolina edged out Gonzaga 71-65 to win the 2017 NCAA National Championship. The Tar Heels redeemed themselves after losing at the buzzer to Villanova in last year's National Championship game. It looked like the game would be decided by the last shot until the final seconds when UNC pulled away.

As soon as the Tar Heels grabbed their 6th victory, fans flooded the streets of Chapel Hill. Franklin st. had an estimated 55,000 people burning fires, hanging from lampposts and climbing on trees in celebration of their victory.
