Did Fergie Leave The Black Eyed Peas? Bandmates Hit Social Media After Singer Announces Her Own Label

Whispers around the blogosphere reveal that there's bad blood between everyone in the Black Eyed Peas (not named Fergie) and the Dutchess herself. Word of the reported beef surfaced amidst Fergie's own announcement that she has split with Interscope Records after 10 years and decided to sign with BMG to launch her own label as an imprint named Dutchess Music.

Fergie has been trying to release her sophomore effort, Double Dutchess, for more than a year and his been hit with several delays, which probably is the primary reason for her new venture. A source close to Variety said that "the decision was made to part ways. We were all in concert and want what’s best for Fergie." Thankfully, her in-the-works LP will see the light of day, as per the report, which revealed that the album is "due out later this summer."

"What Fergie has put together with Double Dutchess is so inventive it redefines her as an artist," Jon Cohen, BMG EVP Recorded Music, said in a statement. "Her prolific output has already made our collaboration one of my most exciting times with BMG and we can’t wait for its reveal."

Here's where things get interesting. Shortly before the announcement, Fergie's bandmates (or maybe we should be referring to them as "former bandmates") will.i.am, Taboo and Apl.de.ap took to Instagram to share plenty of posts, which all seemingly indicate that the pop star has left the band. Fergie joined the band back in 2002.

Not only is there a promotional photo for BEP's appearance at the upcoming Champions League final (sans Fergie) on all of their accounts, but there's a skeptical amount of posts of the trio without any mentions or photos of the pop star. It's also worth noting that Fergie follows Taboo on Twitter, but the rapper does not follow her back, which has led some folks to believe that the burned bridge occurred recently.
