Carolina Ballet's Lilyan Vigo has been a professional dancer for 20 years and is retiring after her next show. She came in for a visit to discuss the upcoming production of her last show, Carmen

Set in Seville Spain, Carmen is a story of love, betrayal and adventure that follows the story of Carmen who gets arrested and falls for the officer who arrested her.

The show, originally written as a 4-part opera, was re-imagined by the Carolina Ballet.  Listen to what Vigo had to say about the process of these changes, her retirement and what she's looking forward to in the future.

Opening night for Carmen is Thursday, May 18th at the Raleigh Memorial Auditorium and runs through May 21st.  To purchase tickets, click here!
