When Vanessa Grimaldi -- who won Nick Viall's heart on the last season of The Bachelor -- revealed her celebrity crush was Rick Fox on Jimmy Kimmel Live, On Air with Ryan Seacrest pulled some strings to connect her with the former Laker.

After the first attempt, during which Fox could only reach out via email due to his travel schedule, the basketball star was finally able to call in to OAWRS on Monday to speak with Grimaldi. "We were just talking about some of the things we have in common -- both being Canadian," Fox told Grimaldi. "I couldn't help but wonder if that's where your first introduction to me came from. Was that where it came from?"

Grimaldi admitted: "I don't know! I don't remember how your name came up when [Kimmel and I] were talking about a free pass. I'm like, 'Yeah, you know, there's Rick Fox.'"

Fox has a recurring role on the second season of Greenleaf, OWN's drama series where media mogul Oprah Winfrey serves double duty as an recurring actress and executive producer. The show focuses on the Greenleaf family and their sprawling Memphis megachurch. Beneath their religious exterior, the Greenleaf family members are concealing scandalous secrets and lies.

When asked if Oprah ever flubs her lines, Fox joked: "I had not witnessed such a thing, but I know she may be slightly human."

Greenleaf airs Wednesdays at 10/9c on OWN.
