Gov. Roy Cooper is taking no chances with COVID-19. He has declared a State of Emergency for the state of North Carolina.
A State of Emergency means government officials can take extra steps to protect residents as well as placing anti-price gauging laws into effect.
The state has seven positive cases and more are predicted to come in the next several days.
