Tyler Grodi is President and CEO of Coastal Credit Union, a not-for-profit financial cooperative with $5.2 billion in assets that serves 333,000 members. He joined Coastal in March 2023. In his first year with Coastal, he brought a renewed focus on strategy, internal culture, and growth.
He’s a passionate advocate for the cooperative movement, with a career serving credit unions that spans 24 years.
Tyler was previously the CEO of EFCU Financial, a credit union in Baton Rouge, LA, where he served for 11 years. During his tenure at EFCU, the credit union experienced record earnings and growth. Membership grew by over 112%, assets grew by 246%, member deposits grew by 245%, and loans grew by over 375%. Prior to that, he was Chief Financial Officer at Black Hills Federal Credit Union in Rapid City, SD.
Tyler is an Ohio native, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Bowling Green State University.
