It has been 15 years since A Walk to Remember was released and broke our hearts. The stars of the movie, Mandy Moore and Shane West, dished out some details on the kissing scenes. At the time of filming, Moore was 17 and her costar, West, was 23. In the behind the scenes clip (below), the two discuss their kissing scene and how uncomfortable it was to have lights and 200 people watching you kiss a person you barely know. West, the gentleman that he was, said he tried to do everything he could to make Moore comfortable for the scene.
At the time of the movie's released, Moore was only known for a few of her pop singles like "Candy" and "I Wanna Be With You." With this starring role, Moore was introduced to a wider audience who later saw her in such films as The Princess Diaries and Saved. Now at 32, Moore is starring alongside Milo Ventimiglia in new hit show This Is Us.
At the age of 23, West had made several TV appearances in shows such as Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Boy Meets World. After A Walk To Remember, he landed more prominent roles such as Eli Sammler in Once and Again and Ray Barnett in the hit show ER. He's currently starring in the TV series Salem and has just finished filming the thriller movie Awakening the Zodiac.
