NC Woman Sees "Lesbianism" Listed Under Medical Problems

A North Carolina woman, who went in for a doctor's visit to get blood work done to check her iron level, was shocked to see what was written on her medical chart.  Listed under medical problems was the word "Lesbianism." Kristina Rodriguez says she was "shocked" at the discovery and that having something written like that can "really mess with [one's] self esteem"  After contacting her doctor about the problem, she was told that it was listed under medical problems to protect her from being offended.

The hospital released a statement saying "Lesbianism" is not an appropriate clinical diagnosis and the incident is now being investigated.
