JOHNSTON COUNTY (WTVD) -- UPDATED
Seven people have been detained at West Johnston High School, in Benson, following an incident near campus.
Authorities said the school is now secure after being on brief "perimeter lockdown."
School officials say they plan to release students around 1 p.m. when the lockdown will be lifted.
Deputies with the Johnston County Sheriff's Office said no weapons were found on scene.
