Big announcement coming Friday about Amazon opening a new facility in Garner. Sources say that Amazon has filed permits with the town of Garner, and there will be a "major economic development announcement" on Friday.
Garner town officials would not give details, but it could very well be Amazon, which appears to be planning a fulfillment center at what used to be the ConAgra Slim Jim factory. The new facility could bring as many as 2,000 jobs to the area.
Several permits have been filed under the code name "Project Axis." and the construction renderings call for an orange "smile" logo on a sign monument. Sound familiar?
