As of 8 a.m. Friday, Dorian had weakened to a Category 1 storm with maximum sustained winds of 90 mph, a far cry from the Category 5 that mauled the Bahamas, but still dangerous. The eye of the storm was located just off the shore of Hatteras Island moving northeast at 14 mph.
The storm will continue to pick up speed, moving off the coast. Dorian will likely make landfall on Hatteras Island very soon. The storm dumped a lot of rain all across the state and even spawned 20 tornadoes in the Carolinas.

- Wilmington -- 8 inches
