South Korean Pop Star Sulli Found Dead At 25

South Korean pop star and former f(x) bandmate Sulli has died. She was 25.

As per Time, the singer/actress was found dead by her manager on the second floor of her house in Seongnam, south of the capital city, Seoul, on Monday afternoon (October 14) after he couldn't get in contact with his client. Despite conflicting reports, Kim Seong-tae, an official from the Seongnam Sujeong Police Department, said that there were no signs of foul play and that police did not find a suicide note. Investigations for the case are ongoing.

SM Entertainment, Sulli's agency, issued a statement following her death. "We apologize for conveying such sad and unfortunate news. Sulli has left our side. We cannot believe the situation now and we are just filled with grief," the statement read. "For her family who is grieving after the sudden news of her passing, we earnestly request that you refrain from writing speculative articles or spreading rumors. We express our deep condolences."

Before joining girl group f(x) in 2009, Sulli worked as a child actor in her early years. She departed the group in 2014 to focus on acting after struggling with online harassment. Years later, she returned to the music scene with her first solo album, Goblin, in June 2019.
