Taylor Swift has seemingly responded to comments made by Dave Grohl insinuating that she doesn't play live during her concerts while both artists were in London for their own shows.
The Foo Fighters frontman reportedly took aim at Swift, who was also performing in the city at Wembley Stadium for night two of her Eras Tour, during his band's show at London Stadium on Saturday (June 22), joking that "you don't want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift" while he insinuated that his band plays live while she and hers doesn't, per Entertainment Tonight.
"So we like to call our tour the 'Errors Tour.' We've had more than a few eras and more than a few f------ errors as well. Just a couple," he said, before seemingly taking shots at the Midnights singer. "That's because we actually play live. What? Just saying. You guys like raw, live rock 'n' roll music, right? You came to the right f------- place."
The Tortured Poets Department musician apparently caught wind of the shady comments and addressed it during her Sunday (June 23) show after receiving a standing ovation following her Folkmore-Evermore set. Though she didn't mention Grohl by name, Swift appeared to respond to the diss by praising her band and fellow performers for their work throughout the hours-long show.
"Every one of my band members, every single one of our crew, my band — who's gonna be playing live for you for 3.5 hours tonight — they deserve this so much," she said. "And so does every one of my fellow performers. And you just gave that to us so generously, we will never forget it."
Grohl isn't the only rocker who has recently spoken about the "Fortnight" singer, albeit in a different, more complimentary light. Rivers Cuomo, lead singer of Weezer, recently reflected on the time he worked with Swift on a commercial in 2009 and how she called him and other rockers her "musical heroes."
