Jennifer Lopez spent some time with Ben Affleck and a few of his children over the weekend despite rumors that continue to circulate regarding the pair's alleged split.
According to People, the "On The Floor" hitmaker and Argo actor shared a few moments together at Affleck's rental property in Brentwood, California over the weekend surrounded by family. A source told the outlet that Lopez simply "stopped by" while the silver screen king was home after accompanying his 12-year-old son Samuel (whom he shares with ex Jennifer Garner) to the mall earlier that day.
"Just because she's not with Ben doesn't mean that she doesn't care about his kids. She always cared about them. She spent months looking for the perfect house for their blended family last year. Now when she's back in L.A. she wants to spend quality time with them before school resumes and Violet is off to college."
News of the brief encounter arrives mere weeks after another source told People that the pair had not seen each other for quite some time.
"They’re moving on separately. Jennifer is trying to find a new home to start fresh."
As for Affleck, he's keeping himself busy as he attempts to remain "hopeful" while focusing on his kids amid recent breakup buzz.
"The kids are still off from school. He spends a lot of time with them too. It hasn’t been the easiest summer for him either. He’s just trying to stay focused and make every day as good as possible."
An additional source revealed what Lopez has been up to as the alleged separation process proceeds.
"She's been off and able to focus on what's next. She’s enjoyed spending time with her kids, family and friends. She always has good attitude even when things are not perfect."
