The Pittsburgh Steelers have reportedly acquired wide receiver DK Metcalf in a sign-and-trade with the Seattle Seahawks, sources with knowledge of the situation confirmed to ESPN's Adam Schefter on Sunday (March 9).

The reported trade came four days after the Seahawks were reported to have been willing to grant Metcalf's trade request and two days after trading quarterback Geno Smith to the Las Vegas Raiders.

"More Seahawks trades: Seattle is sending two-time Pro-Bowl WR DK Metcalf to the Steelers, per sources. Seattle now has traded QB Geno Smith to the Raiders, and WR Metcalf to the Steelers," Schefter wrote on his X account. "Trade compensation: steelers are sending a second round draft pick to the Seahawks and flipping picks in the sixth and seventh rounds, per sources."

Metcalf and the Steelers reportedly agreed to a five-year, $150 million contract, sources confirmed to Schefter.

Metcalf spent his entire career with the Seahawks since being selected at No. 64 overall in the second-round of the 2019 NFL Draft. The former Ole Miss standout is a two-time Pro Bowl selection and was a Second-team All-Pro in 2020.

Metcalf recorded 66 receptions for 992 yards and five touchdowns in 2024, which included breaking the franchise record for most touchdown receptions of at least 50 yards in Week 3 and being limited to 12 starts and 15 appearances.
