Adele to Host ‘SNL’ for First Time Ever

On October 18, Adele took to Instagram to confirm that she would be hosting this week’s episode of ‘SNL.’ In her post, Adele said she was “so excited” for the opportunity to do her “first ever hosting gig.” 'If there was ever a time for any of us to jump head first into the deep end with our eyes closed and hope for the best it’s 2020 right?,' Adele said, via Instagram.

The 32-year-old singer last appeared on ‘SNL’ on November 21, 2015, also during an election cycle. Adele credited that appearance with “break[ing]” her career in America. She said the opportunity to host “feels full circle” and that she “couldn’t possibly” pass up the opportunity.

Adele also used her post to gush about the musical guest, H.E.R., saying she was going to melt into a “flaming hot mess.” 'I am besides myself that H.E.R will be the musical guest!! I love her SO much I can’t wait to melt into a flaming hot mess when she performs,' Adele, via Instagram.
