3 years ago SZA released her groundbreaking and highly-acclaimed album CTRL and outside of a few features with the likes of Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd and Justin Timberlake, she hasn’t released any solo music since.
Part of it is her admitted perfectionism and difficultly in moving forward with a release, but it appears she’s had a change of heart and a new outlook because she’s hinting at unceremoniously releasing a ton of the music she’s made over the past half decade.
“(I’m thinking about doing) a music dump," SZA tweeted. "Kinda similar to a photo dump but not an album. Does this concept make sense to anyone? Asking for me. This would be 20 unreleased songs from over the course of the last 6 years.”
She then asked her followers to help by reminding her of any snippets she’d posted over the years that they loved because she frankly can’t remember all the songs.
On top of that, she also says if she follows through, it will probably be for a charitable cause because too many people are hurting right now.
