Apple and Amazon announced in early 2018 and late 2017 that they were looking for new cities to expand their company. In the hype of this announcement, many cities worked hard to pull together in the efforts of trying to be chosen for the placement of the company's Headquarters. The interests of Apple once choosing NC as a new host for the expansions of the business has changed. On Tuesday, Apple stated that they will build a $1 billion campus in Austin, Texas, and then establish smaller new locations in Seattle, San Diego, and Culver City, California. Texas is already home to many of the company's' locations, so the more the merrier right? Many North Carolinian's were eager for the company to expand to the area due to the amount of jobs and prestige it could have possibly brought in. Guess Apple had other plans.
