THE BABY-SITTERS CLUB: Netflix Releases First Trailer for Series [VIDEO]

I was a BIG fan of The Babysitters Club books and 90's TV show. I'm so glad they are bringing this series back! I hope young girls love The Baby-Sitters Club as much as I did.

On Monday, Netflix released the first trailer for its reboot ofThe Baby-Sitters Club, which will be available to stream starting on July 3.

Based on thebeloved book seriesby Ann M. Martin and following in the footsteps of the ‘90s sitcom and 1995 film, the new modern-day adaptation follows middle-schoolers Kristy Thomas (Sophie Grace), Mary Anne Spier (Malia Baker), Claudia Kishi (Momona Tamada), Stacey McGill (Shay Rudolph) and Dawn Schafer (Xochitl Gomez) as they create their own babysitting business in their small town of Stoneybrook, Conn. The series also starsAlicia Silverstone, who plays Elizabeth Thomas-Brewer. 

Back in February, Netflix announced that the fan-favorite franchise being turned into a contemporary live action series. Thrilled to be bringingThe Baby-Sitters Clubto the small screen once again, Martin shared that she hopes the new series will empower a new generation.
