British Child Star, 'Cloud Atlas' Actress Mya-Lecia Naylor Dies At 16

British child star Mya-Lecia Naylor has passed away.

The actress, best known for her roles in the 2012's Cloud Atlas, and on CBBC shows Almost Never and Millie Inbetween, died on April 7 after she collapsed, her A&J Management agents informed BBC News. She was 16.

In a statement, the network said Naylor was a "much-loved part of the BBC Children's family and a hugely talented actress, singer and dancer," with her management adding the teenager was "hugely talented and a big part of A&J" and that they will "miss her greatly."

Further aspects of her death have not yet been revealed.

Naylor, who played Fran in two seasons of Millie Inbetween and as Mya in Almost Never for the British children's television brand, had expressed her love of acting and singing in previous interviews. The latter program even shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram in her honor before sending thoughts and prayers to her family and friends.

BBC News also reports the young talent had "amazing projects" to come before her death.

"She has shone so brightly on our screens, both in 'Millie Inbetween' and 'Almost Never,' and it's unthinkable that she won't be part of our journey going forward," said BBC Children's Director Alice Webb of Naylor.

"So shocked and sad to hear about lovely Mya-Lecia Naylor. She was a beautiful and talented girl. A complete joy to be around on the set of Almost Never," wrote Emily Atack, who co-starred alongside Naylor on the series. "Sending all my love to her family & friends. Rest in peace beautiful girl x"

Naylor's former castmates — Harry Still, Tillie Thalia and Kimberly Wyatt — also posted heartfelt condolences to the late performer on social media. (See more tributes below.)

Rest in Peace, Mya.
