A man recently won a $200,000 South Carolina Education Lottery jackpot by playing numbers from a fortune cookie. According to UPI, the North Carolina man says he crosses the border into South Carolina to buy lottery tickets each week and bought the winning Palmetto Cash 5 ticket on Valentine's Day using the numbers on the back of a fortune cookie message. The numbers from this particular cookie were 6, 8, 20, 26, and 31. "My wife eats the fortune cookies," the winner said. "And I save our fortunes." He plans to use his winnings to help his wife “retire sooner than she thought.”
