Tom Cruise halted production on Mission: Impossible 7 due to the coronavirus.
There’s been an explosion of new infections near the film location in Venice, Italy. The country has confirmed nearly 200 cases. The government has put a squeeze on public gatherings in hopes of containing the outbreak.
Tom Cruise arrived in Venice last week. He’s basically quarantined inside his luxury suite at the Hotel Gritti Palace.
Filming will be shut down until further notice. A studio spokesperson said, “Out of an abundance of caution for the safety and well-being of our cast and crew, we are altering the production plan for our three-week shoot in Venice.” (The Hollywood Reporter)
