Prince Harry returned to the U.K. Wednesday for his final duties as a senior member of the British royal family — and he insisted on being referred to as plain old “Harry.”
With five weeks to go before Megxit, Harry dropped all his royal titles while speaking at an event in Scotland. Conference host Ayesha Hazarika made the announcement before he took the stage. “He’s made it clear that we are all just to call him Harry. So ladies and gentlemen, please give a big, warm Scottish welcome to Harry.”
As part of his split from the Queen, Harry has agreed to stop using the His Royal Highness title, but he'll always retain the title of “prince.”
Rocker Jon Bon Jovi, who's recording a song for Harry's Invictus Games on Friday, joked during a BBC radio interview that Harry is “the artist formerly known as Prince.”
