Ashley Christensen, a Raleigh celebrity chef, announced that a relief fund has been created to help Triangle restaurant workers affected by the novel coronavirus.
The fund was set up by the Frankie Lemmon Foundation one day after Gov. Roy Cooper ordered thatall restaurants and bars close to dine-in customers.
Some restaurants moved to a to-go modelbut still had to lay off employees in anticipation of a decline in business.
