Restaurant chain Logan's Roadhouse has fired all of their furloughed employees during the coronavirus pandemic. Their healthcare benefits also ended on March 31.
The parent company is also temporarily closing all 261 of its restaurants, but the closures could become permanent. It calls the COVID-19 pandemic "unprecedented."
According to Restaurant Business Online, the owners are "mothballing" all of its restaurants, which means they will stop using them, but keep them in good condition to be used again.
Craftworks, the parent company, filed for Chapter 11 protection on March 3.
The court filing showed that a lender withdrew financing after the company filed for the protection.
"The debtors hope that they will be able to restart their operations at some point in the future, but there are many preconditions to a restart, including the obtaining of financing, the hiring of staff, and the ability to create a coherent and profitable business plan," Craftworks said of itself in a court filing. "The shutdown could persist for a prolonged period time, if not permanently."
Logan's had around 18,000 employees.
