The Chainsmokers find themselves in the crosshairs of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.
The duo performed Saturday night in the Hamptons. They dubbed their outdoor charity concert the “Safe & Sound Drive-In.” However, social media posts reveal that carloads of people crowded the stage. Absolutely no physical distancing in the pit. Few wore masks.
Governor Cuomo tweeted Monday evening “Videos from a concert held in Southampton on Saturday show egregious social distancing violations. I am appalled. The Department of Health will conduct an investigation.”
Several concert-goers told BuzzFeed they felt “very safe” attending Saturday night's show. The state limits non-essential events to 50 people. More than 3000 attended The Chainsmokers concert and paid $850 for the privilege. (BuzzFeed)
