Matthew McConaughey is keeping positive amid coronavirus – he credits quarantine for improving his “mental health and family life.” But he also knows it’s important to know the facts about the virus, recently grilling the nation’s top infection disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci on COVID-19.
Sitting down virtually with Dr. Fauci on Facebook Live, McConaughey asked questions about everything from touching door knobs to rumors that sunlight kills the virus to when we can expect a vaccine. When it comes to the vaccine, Fauci says we should be there by 2021 – and noted that’s a much better option than herd immunity.
"Like a lot of people, I've been more than disillusioned -- actually quite full of rage -- at how COVID has been politicized, including masks,” McConaughey said. "We can have our freedom and our party later. Right now, let's pull together."
