Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti followed through on his threat. He cut the power to the mansion of TikTok influencer Bryce Hall. It’s known in the TikTok universe as “Sway House.” Over the weekend, Bryce hosted a 21st birthday bash for hundreds, who disregarded safety precautions like masks and social distance.
Los Angeles police shut down Friday night's party after the neighbors complained about the noise around 4 in the morning. Then the mayor got involved.Garcetti tweeted on Wednesday, “I authorized the City to disconnect utility service at a house in the Hollywood Hills to stop the large parties held there in flagrant violation of our public health orders. Parties like these can quickly and easily spread the virus and put our communities at risk.”
Bryce Hall rents “Sway House” with two other TikTok influencers, Noah Beck and Blake Gray. They lost electricity during a heat wave but the water had not been shut off. So the backyard pool is still open. (The New York Times)
