On Friday afternoon, Lori Loughlin was sentenced as had been anticipated to two months in prison. Her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, received five months. Together, they owe $400,000 in fines and 350 hours of community service. Lori has started to volunteer with elementary school age special needs students.
Before sentencing, the judge gave a stern speech to Lori “You have participated in the corruption of higher education. I hope you will spend the rest of your charmed life making amends.”
Lori Loughlin confessed that she made “an awful decision” to help her daughters cheat on college applications and greased the process with a half-million dollar “donation.” She tearfully told the judge via Zoom “I am truly, profoundly and deeply sorry. I allowed myself to be swayed from my moral compass. I thought I was acting out of love for my children. In reality, I undermined and diminished my daughters’ accomplishments.” (Us Magazine)
