MTV'sVideo Music Awards, the network's biggest show of the year, airs on Sunday, but no one outside of MTV's top executives seem to know exactly who's performing at the COVID-era awards show.
It was originally set for Barclays Center in Brooklyn, but that was scrapped due to safety concerns. Instead, performers will pop up a various outside locations around New York with what MTV parent company Viacom calls a "limited audience."
Photos of one stage in Greenpoint have turned up on social media, with fans speculating it will be reserved for Lady Gaga's performance, but nothing has been confirmed.
The network has said that Gaga, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, Miley Cyrus, BTS and Maluma will perform, but it didn't say if those performances would be live or from New York. (Rolling Stone)
We know that Roddy Ricch and J Balvin have canceled. The 14-day quarantine for those traveling to New York has been waived for performers, making it easier for them to fly in and out.
Other rumored performers include Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B, Harry Styles and Taylor Swift. We'll have to wait and see.
